Google I/O 2023 has just come to a close, and Alphabet stock prices have risen by 11% this week to their highest level since August. But what specifically sparked the frenzy? The top six things about Google’s most recent innovations and product releases are listed below.
1. Pixel 7a
The Google Pixel 7a is a mid-range to high-end Android smartphone that costs $100 less than the Pixel 7. 2. Pixel Fold
With the Pixel Fold, Google has also entered the foldable phone industry. The Pixel Fold sports a conventional smartphone design with a 5.8-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main screen that are both made of 120 Hz OLED displays. It has a 4,821 mAh battery, a Titan M2 coprocessor, a Tensor G2 system-on-a-chip, and 12GB of memory. With five cameras total, the Pixel Fold includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto camera. The phone costs $1,800, which is steeply competitive with Samsung Fold, but with the purchase you also receive a free Pixel Watch.
Pre-Orders will open on June 20th if you’re eager for a new foldable phone.
3. Pixel Tablet
In keeping with the Pixel Family, Google has recently unveiled its own Pixel tablet. It boasts a 10.95-inch display, 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage. The device sports an 8MP camera on the rear and front and is powered by Google Tensor G2. With its hub mode and built-in Chromecast and Google TV apps, you can use it as a smart home controller. 4. Android 14
The beta version of Android 14 is now available for compatible Pixel phones. Additional personalization options for the lock screen and AI-powered features like Magic Compose which suggests text responses in Android Messages are available, Android 14 delivers enhancements to performance, privacy, and security, especially to AI. A new version of the Find My function enables users to use nearby Android devices such as Pixel or Tile to locate lost devices.
5. Bard AI with PaLM 2
The drawbacks of its predecessor, LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), have been addressed by Bard AI’s implementation of PaLM 2, the powerful Pathways Language Model. Future versions of Bard will incorporate Adobe Firefly to produce high-quality photos and will let users include images along with text in their prompts. Kayak, OpenTable, and Khan Academy are just a few of the partners that Bard is linked to with Google apps.

Innovations from Google Labs include Project Tailwind, an AI notebook for learning and note-taking, and MusicLM, which converts language descriptions into music. In addition to this, Google Suites will get AI features, such as the ability to convert meeting notes into emails in Gmail or to build job descriptions in Docs with a prompt.
